If doing a bust I would ideally like to meet with the person for an actual consultation and have the person sit for me for several sessions. I realize that is not always possible and I can work from photos which you supply. In the latter case I ask that you photograph the person with at least 8 to 10 shots taken at about 30 degree intervals all the way around the person. It is usually best to photograph from at least 10 feet using telephoto settings to avoid distortion. Have the individual sit with a look on their face reflecting how they would like to be thought of. Have them hold that while the photographer moves around the individual. A tripod is frequently helpful as the speed of many digital camera's provides fuzzy pictures if the lighting is poor. I can reproduce the pictures I needed from a CD of the pictures or reasonably sized photos. I will need 8 to 10 weeks to complete the portrait and another 3 months for the casting to be completed.
